The drop down menu under this tab contains links to syllabi I have used for teaching the past seven years at two institutions: University of South Florida (USF), and Tarleton State University (TSU). The drop down menu titled, “Example Student Work Syllabus” demonstrates the Student Work Syllabus (SWS) which is a heuristic I create for every course. The SWS is created for both me and students so that we can negotiate and change assignment types and dates contingent upon the needs of the class. I should also note that every SWS is hyperlinked to outside material and readings, so that students don’t have to purchase excessive textbooks for the course. SWS are also included in the course syllabus for each course.
